Even little aids require a lot of knowledge

Knowledge is power – regardless of the application – and our employees are experts who bring their knowledge into meetings with customers.

RoMedic employees have extensive experience in arranging education and training sessions in transfer techniques for caregivers. They often work closely with professional training and development agencies that offer programmes in transfer techniques, self-protection, and conflict management. RoMedic provides training in the use of its products within the Easy Transfer System.

Customers can choose to participate in our regularly scheduled seminars, or they can contact us for more customised training. Our half-day courses, at customer sites, cover: modern transfer principles (theoretical briefing), analyses of customers’ transfer problems and their current equipment/aids and how the aids are used, selection of well-functioning aids and a practical review of current transfer problems.
RoMedic’s all-day courses go into more detail regarding the above-mentioned topics and contain supplementary information about beds as transfer aids and transfers conducted in patients’ rooms.
All RoMedic’s courses put heavy emphasis on practical exercises; course participants experience transfers in two roles: caregiver and care recipient.

One-hour instructional film for internal training

We developed a film to facilitate ongoing, internal training for our products. It’s avai-lable in VHS and DVD and demonstrates different uses for RoMedic’s transfer aids. The film also serves as reference material; it contains tips on how transfers can be made and illustrates light and heavy transfers. Note: techniques demonstrated in the film must always be adapted for each caregiver, care recipient, and transfer situation.
